A new tea-themed journal

I found most adorable journal at Winners this month.

The cute design caught my eye because it featured two of my favourite fruity summer teas: bananas and watermelon!

Dollarama and Dollar Tree tea-themed hauls

One of the first things I did after I was fully vaccinated was hit my local dollar stores to buy things that I did not need!

I first saw this enamel coated mug ($3 CDN) at Dollarama back in 2017(!) I left it behind because I already had too many mugs at home. These garden-themed mugs return every spring, but I always resisted. Back in March 2020, I was hemming and hawing over finally getting one and then we all know what happened...

When I spotted the "Tea Tastes Better Outdoors" mug on the shelf last month, I couldn't grab it fast enough!

True story: after this outdoor photo shoot, I found a small bug inside the mug. Next time, I'll use the cup lid that a friend gave me.

Did I need new tea towels? No.

But these kitchen towels with teacups came home with me anyway! (I also have the purple version.)

Another great Dollarama find: This cute "Keep Calm and Drink Tea" accent rug for $4 CDN.

I was beyond thrilled when I found these adorable tea-related stickers at Dollar Tree.

I was also happy to see Dollar Tree carry the mini Tea Time calendars again. Is it 2022 yet?

What are your favourite finds at the dollar store?

First Tea Haul of 2021: Dessert by Deb's Sweet Winter Brunch Collection

And just like that it's February.

 January tea empties

Oldest: Fairmont Lot 35 teabags (Dec 2018)

Newest: DavidsTea's Mandarin Mimosa rooibos (Dec 2020)

I'm proud to report that I was able to go over 6 WEEKS without buying any new teas. The Boxing Day/Week sales tempted me, but I resisted...

...because I knew I would go on a buying spree when Dessert by Deb launched her Sweet Winter Brunch collection in mid-January! This was my birthday gift to myself. As usual, Deb's packing is impeccable!

I treated myself to this pretty mint green teacup with the matching saucer and teabag, and these super cute coasters designed by Deb

I picked up 5 blends from the Sweet Winter Brunch collection, and 4 teas from her other collections.

I got the Cereal Milk and the Hojicha Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding teas free as part of the launch's bonus offers.

These adorable stationery and teal teabag holder were additional bonus goodies.

I'm not a big cereal person, but I enjoyed Cereal Milk's creamy flavour. Creamy teas are my jam!

Golden Pear Sunshine (an herbal tea with tumeric) is just what I need to brighten up these winter days.

The Sweet Winter Brunch Collection introduced another delicious orange tea: Orange Cinnamon Rolls black tea

Caramel Custard Flan rooibos tea is another creamy tea with a coconut twist!

Sipping these yummy Dessert by Deb teas have made lockdown much more tolerable!

Belated Birthday Celebrations and Gifts

Last month, I turned another year older.

My talented aunt baked me this gorgeous strawberry shortcake.
It tasted as amazing as it looked!

I finally had afternoon tea at Tea at the White House's new location.
This was a joint birthday celebration with my friend. We both selected dessert-inspired herbal teas. Donut herbal (top right) tasted sweet and nutty, while the chocolate covered strawberry herbal tea (bottom left) was a delicious, fruity tea (this was my favourite).

The pretty tea-themed birthday cards.

The 5-year-old daughter of my friend (from the afternoon tea)--without any hints from her mom--selected this cute teacup image for my birthday card and even coloured the teacup in my favourite colour: purple!

My family and friends showered me with tea-themed gifts again!

This charming teapot is the perfect addition to my collection.
I'll have to share my 3 elephant teapots one day.

How adorable is this Chip mug?!?

A tea infuser bottle.

Teas! Teas! Teas!

A crafty friend handmade this super cute cozy.
Can you see the embroidered teacup on the back?

Lovely teabag holders in my favourite hues: turquoise and purple.

These pretty paper plates and napkins are almost too pretty to use!

Ditto for these notecards!

Purple strikes again: an embroidered tea towel.

An interesting historical book on tea.

I'm hooked on this present!

A reusable bag featuring teacups and teapots.

I'm beyond grateful to my generous and thoughtful family and friends for the fabulous gifts!

Owl have fun using this infuser and teabag holder!

Chic coasters for tea time.

A tea-lightful tray.

Some lovely napkins.

My favourite tea calendar

A tea nerd can never have too many tea-themed cards!

Spoiled!

Once again, I'm very grateful to my thoughtful family and friends for spoiling me with tea-related gifts on Christmas.

I adore the purple teacup on this Peter Pan quote:
"Would you like an adventure now, or shall we have tea first?

Tea first!
New herbal, black and green teas to sip before embarking on an adventure.

This adorable infuser is a marriage of my favourite things: tea, purple and polka dots!

Good thing that I meet the minimum age requirements for this sweet miniature ladybug tea set!

How cute are these handmade coasters?

A tea nerd can never have too many tea-themed towels...

...or tea-themed cards!

 Socks to be me!

Green Tea bath and body products.

This "Teacups" puzzle will be a fun indoors activity during winter.

My generous family and friends also gifted me beautiful teawares which will be shared in future posts. Since I now have more than enough teas and teawares, I've gone on a "tea diet". We'll see how long I stay on the tea wagon!

Now it's time to announce the winner of my 2-year blogiversary giveaway!

And the Winner selected by Random.org is...(drum roll):

Sylvia from SMD Paper Arts.

(How cool was it that the random number that was generated was my birthday?!?)

 Congratulations, Sylvia!!!
Please send me your mailing address and tea preferences (e.g., black, green, herbal, etc.) and I will ship your prizes you.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the giveaway!
