Tyrrell Tea by Tea...Indeed

 Hello, September!

Last month, my friend visited Drumheller, Alberta and brought me back Tea...Indeed's "Tyrrell Tea", a black tea blend inspired by the Royal Tyrrell Museum which features one of the world's largest collections of dinosaurs.

It's a tasty Earl Grey blend with hibiscus flowers. Of course, I had to drink it in my handmade "Tea-Rex" mug!

I visited the Royal Tyrrell Museum in 2014.

"Black Beauty" was one of the best preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex skulls every found.

Teas for Canada Day

When my brother came home for a brief visit, he brought some new teas from a Canadian-owned tea shop, Totalitea, that will be perfect for celebrating Canada Day (July 1).

Totalitea #1: Chinook Breeze green tea had blue pea flowers that made the tea looked blue.

Totalitea #2: Rocky Mountain Herbs herbal tea

Totalitea #3: Nanaimo Bar black tea was enjoyed with a cookie inspired by the same Canadian dessert!

Dessert by Deb's Oh Canada Sweets Collection

This month, I've been enjoying some new teas from Dessert by Deb's Oh Canada Sweets Collection.

Tea #1: Prairie Vanilla Custard Flapper Pie black tea

I've never actually had prairie vanilla custard flapper pie, but I enjoyed this tasty blend's creamy flavour.

Tea #2: Nanaimo Bar Cheesecake black tea

Another delicious creamy tea with chocolate and coconut notes.

Tea #3: Maple Dipped Donuts & Coffee black tea

I'm not usually a fan of coffee-flavoured teas, but this was a lovely tea with a balance of maple and mocha notes.

Tea #4: Wild Strawberries & Northern Lights green tea

This fruity green tea would make a refreshing iced tea!

Tea #5: Sakura Watermelon in High Park oolong tea

I've never met a watermelon tea that I didn't like, so this floral watermelon blend was right up my alley!

2nd Annual Milton Tea Fest

A few weeks ago, I attended the 2nd Annual Milton Tea Fest.

I admired the lovely tea-themed artwork.

It was quite busy, so I only took pictures of some of the vendors.

My modest tea haul!

Five Things in February

We made it to the last week of February!

1. Winter really hit us hard this month. Back-to-back winter storms buried us in almost 60 cm (23 inches) of snow--the biggest snowfall that we've seen in years. I drank Murchie's Snowflake black tea in between all the shovelling!

2. Valentine cards and sweets from work and tea friends.

3. I found this sweet velvet plush blanket at HomeSense (aka HomeGoods in the U.S.). I was sold as soon as I spotted the cute teacups and teabags!

4. A virtual tea to celebrate a friend's birthday: Chocolate Truffle Cake and Caramel Custard Flan Rooibos (Dessert by Deb)

5. My parents gave me this adorable purple pin. I will strive to "Hold Onto Positivitea" during these tumultuous times.

I Heart Handmade Mugs

For Valentine's Day, my parents gave me a pair of charming pottery mugs that were handmade by Studio C Ceramics.

The first mug has a teabag inside with a cute tag hanging on the outside.

The second mug features a teabag with a rose on it.

The first tea that I enjoyed in the mug was Plum Deluxe's Decaf Toasted Marshmallow latte.

Thank you, Kitty, for sharing this delicious decaf black tea blend with me!
