Church Garage Sale Haul #1: Paragon teawares

I went to the first church garage sale last month and found some beautiful Paragon pieces.

I don't usually purchase sugar and cream, but I couldn't leave this pretty Iris open sugar bowl and creamer behind!

I also couldn't resist these orphan white and gold teacups. I didn't noticed that they were different designs until I got home.

I adore the heart-shaped design of this teacup.

When I got home I noticed that this teacup had a crack. So I'll have to find another use for it...

I originally thought it was $3 for each piece. But they were actually asking for $3 for each set and accepted my offer of $5 for BOTH sets!

Tea-lightful Christmas gifts

In addition to the interesting teas that I received for Christmas, my family and friends also gave me some really cool tea-themed gifts.

What does the fox say?

A two-cup teapot

A tea cozy (the new teapot is small, but it matches the cozy perfectly!)

A lovely teacup in my favourite colours: purple and yellow!

A lavender tea set that includes a creamer, sugar, and spoon.

A new Sereni-tea mug for the office.

A tea infuser bottle that can keep the liquid hot OR cold.

You can never have enough cute tea towels or napkins!

A Mrs. Potts and Chip tee.

Tea-infused candy.

A teacup night light and magnets.

I'm so thankful to have such thoughtful friends who spoil me!

Spring Tea & Fashion Trends

How can it be the end of April already?!?

Earlier this month, we had a spring tea social at the office.
I brought in my Sadler basket weave mugs, while my co-workers brought in these tasty treats.

At a recent visit to the local museum, I spotted this display of milk jugs and creamers. I prefer to drink my tea black so I usually only use creamers when I'm serving tea to others.

The museum also had an exhibit called "Fashion to the Future" which featured fashion trends from the 1960s to the 2000s.

Blast from the past: 1970s (top) and 1980s (bottom)

Did you ever follow these fashion trends?

This Little Piggy

I first spotted teapigs. at my local grocery store last year. This UK-based tea company was started in 2006 so it took nearly a decade for teapigs to fly across the pond to my little corner of the world!

The unusual name and whimsical graphic designs with e.e. cummings-like decapitalization intrigued me. So I was delighted when a woman at work gifted me the Rooibos Creme Caramel!

The rooibos tea leaves and caramel pieces are combined in a biodegradable "tea temple".

This dessert tea will definitely satisfy your sweet tooth!
I always drank it plain, but I'm sure it'll also go well with milk to make a rich, creamy drink.

***Sadler Sugar and Creamer Update***

I went back to the antique shop last week...

...and the sugar and creamer were still there!!!
I wanted to jump up and down on the vintage couches for joy!

Reunited and it feels so good!

Mugs (2012); Teapot (2013); Sugar and Creamer (2016)
You complete me.

Gifted

My family and friends know me all too well and spoiled me with many tea-related gifts on Christmas.

I won't have to worry about running out of stock during Hot Tea Month (or the next 6 months)! These teas from international (Italy), national (Alberta) and local (Greater Toronto Area) tea shops are all new to me and I look forward to trying them out!

One of my work friends surprised me with this lovely vintage sugar and cream set which had belonged to her husband's aunt. I love the chintz design--it'll go well with my other teawares!

Now I have to keep an eye out for the matching cups and saucers at local thrift stores...

Anything purple and tea-related are always enthusiastically received! This is the first Japanese cast iron teapot in my collection.

I was also delighted to receive these unique gifts: a set of 3 cork "Kettle" trivets; a fun magnet (the message is so true!); and interesting notecards featuring traditional Scottish tea room recipes on the back. Not pictured: a jolly Santa teapot, a miniature tea set, and tea ornaments which I neglected to photograph before packing them away.

Last, but not the least, are these super cute Disney Princess Tea Set. Be my guest...or heads will roll!

Look at this stuff.
Isn't it neat?
Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?

Edited to fix photos.
