Momo Sencha

Raise your hands if you've been drinking copious amounts of teas to cope with the stress of the coronavirus crisis.

Over the weekend, I finally tried the Momo Sencha that I purchased at the 2018 (!) RBG Tea Festival. This Japanese green tea is a special blend of peach and rhubarb by Momo Tea. I enjoyed the light peach flavour, but couldn't detect the rhubarb.

My March tea empties
I'm really making a dent in my tea stash in these trying times.

And Week 3 of physical/social distancing begins...

Adjusting to the new normal

Tea has always been one of my stress relievers and it's helping me get through these scary and uncertain times of the coronavirus pandemic.

My colleagues and I all started working from home last week. As an introvert, I'm always happy to stay at home, but I miss the social interactions with my officemates. So I'm grateful for technology that allows us to hold virtual tea socials: we can connect and share the teas we're sipping at home!

Of course, I'm washing my hands frequently with white tea hand soap (I found this at Dollarama a few years ago)!

I've been minimizing my social media usage because the constant barrage of coronavirus information is overwhelming. But this tweet from one of my favourite Canadian singers, Jann Arden, made me laugh. My own tea stash will definitely last me for MONTHS!

Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy!

A green and gold Aynsley teacup

In honour of St. Patrick's Day, I'm sharing this elegant green and gold teacup that I acquired a few years ago.

This is the third crocus teacup in my collection.
One is lighter green, while the other is pure white.

The Aynsley backstamp. My internet search of the gold marks (2797?) didn't find anything though.

A friend sent me this sweet card last week. It brought me joy during these dark days.

Stay safe and healthy!

A Bridal Shower Tea at the Office

Another week, another tea social at the office! The first tea social was a pop-up tea that celebrated a colleague's birthday. We enjoyed McCain's Deep 'n Delicious chocolate cake with First Snowfall black tea (Tea at the White House). I didn't get any photos though. Whoops!

The second tea social was a bridal shower potluck for another colleague who is getting married later this month. Black Beauty served strawberry honey black tea (Waterdown Tea House).

The tasty treats brought in by my co-workers.

Do you have any tea parties planned this month?

A Thrifty Tea Time

Hello to March and the longer days!

My tea empties from February.

I welcomed March with a cup of Waterdown Tea House's tasty strawberry honey black tea.

The mug and adorable crochet tea cozy were both thrift store finds.
They were only $1.99 each!
