Tea with Friends was one of the first tea blogs that I followed. I had enjoyed reading Angela's delightful Saturday series of "Teatimes Tales" so I was thrilled to win an autographed copy of the book!
One of my favourite stories was Tempest in a Tea Cabinet which featured talking teacups!
Another favourite is Plain, Reliable Betty about a teapot in therapy.
(I've always been a fan of anthropomorphism!).
Thank you, Angela, for the signed book!

Last month, Ruth, the lovely hostess of Tuesday Cuppa Tea and our resident expert on the British monarchy, celebrated Queen Elizabeth's 90th birthday with a "Right Royal Grandkids Giveaway" and drew my name for these wonderful Royal memorabilia.
This tea towel commemorated "The Royal Kiss" shared by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after their Royal Wedding in 2011.
This bright blue tea towel commemorated the birth of the future king of England, George Alexander Louis, on July 22, 2013.The tea towels are too pretty for everyday use so I will have to think of a creative way of displaying them...
This bone china mug by Adderley celebrated Princess Charlotte's birth on May 2, 2013.
Thank you, Ruth, for the generous giveaway!
In other royal topics, I purchased this interesting item at a church sale for only 50 cents!
Can you guess what this is?
I'm joining the following parties this week:
You have lots of luck following you Margie! What wonderful gifts. Was a talking teacup included in the package? And so many royal commemorative treasures. Your crown is stunning and fits right in with the new gifts!

I'm so happy that you were the lucky winner of two giveaways, Margie!! I know you're enjoying your winnings. I'm wondering what the crown is??? The only thing that I can think of is, a covered butter dish??
ReplyDeleteLucky you, with two wins the same week. That sure looks like an interesting item from the church sale. I think it is a cover for perhaps a sandwich plate or a cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun wins! The royal tea towels are lovely. I think your crown is a cheese plate cover.
ReplyDeleteDear Margie:
ReplyDeleteWow you really hit the jackpot twice. I think that is lovely and hope you enjoy your treasures. Angela is a gift writer so I know her book will be great fun. Thanks for sharing and linking.
What wonderful wins, Margie! I know you will enjoy Angela's book. The crown looks like it could be almost anything but I'm thinking it is a cheese cover. Thanks for a fun post.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi

Lucky girl, my friend! I am intrigued by the crown...for butter?
ReplyDeleteWill it hold for three wins, do you think? Now I am doing a giveaway of THE perfect knife for cutting tea sandwiches (among other things)! I hope all my lovely tea friends will enter.
ReplyDeleteHi Margie...a bit late this week...life happens! So sweet of you! And so glad you won! Angela's book is my my list for sure! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Hi Margie, it looks like you received some wonderful goodies. I have no idea what the crown is, does it hold tea bags perhaps?
ReplyDeleteWow, great giveaway wins! Love the royal stuff! So cool :). I really like Victorian homes too--but the upkeep of old homes is beyond me. If only they weren't expensive and if they could be completely re-wired, etc. ;).
