Holiday Teas

Throughout December, I've been sipping holiday teas from my Christmassy teawares.

My new-to-me Santa teapot, "Snack Therapy" by Fitz & Floyd, hanging out with a vintage Troll.

I love how Santa's hat converts into a mug.

Day 16 from the David's Tea Advent Calendar
Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait herbal tea was served from my mini Sadler teapot and Duchess teacup.

The Twinings Winter Wonderland herbal tea definitely tasted better in my Spode Christmas Tree mug.

The Traveling Tearoom's Nutcracker Tea served in the "Christmas Baubles" tea set by Maxwell Williams.

Last year, one of my tea friends surprised me by sending me this "Cup of Christmas Tea" all the way from the States. It was only fitting that I sipped Murchie's Christmas tea (Thanks, Judith!) in this special teacup.

I was thrilled when at a recent visit to my local thrift store, I found the out-of-print book that inspired "A Cup of Christmas Tea".

I didn't have time to raid my parents' closet for an "Ugly Christmas Sweater" so I improvised by pinning the cute Christmas ornaments handcrafted by my blogging friends to a green sweater.

My mom surprised me with this adorable teapot ornament for my tea tree.
If you live near a Canadian Sears store, the ornament is now on clearance. Or you can order it online here.

My Nativity set under the tree.

Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

  1. I have the book 'A Cup of Christmas Tea' on my teacart (can't remember where I found mine) and a miniature teaset that matches the book and your big girl size teacup. :-) (from the same friend I think:-)
Great job on the ugly sweater, this way you can change it up each year.

  4. Great idea pinning those knitted ornaments to your sweater, Margie! I love the green too. I didn't see that teapot ornament at Sears here. {We live only five minutes from the store.} I love your Christmas collection of tea things. My hubby thought he might get me the Spode teapot for Christmas but I already have three Christmas teapots. It would have been nice though because I have the mugs and plates but I am trying to be sensible. *sigh* It's not always easy being sensible when you have oodles of tea things and you're a tea-aholic. Merry Christmas friend!

  6. What nice tea treats you've been making for yourself with the various Christmas teapots, teacups and tea! Love the Santa teapot and his hate/cup. I have a lidded Spode candy dish and just recently found a set of six matching Spode pate & cheese knives. Your mom knows you so well ;)
I didn't get out my nativity scene yet, but am going to get it set up in the next day or so. So much to do ... so little time (left!!).
Merry Christmas to my favourite tea nerd!

  8. You sure have some pretty tea pieces for enjoying your holiday teas, Margie! I loved the idea of your ugly sweater by pinning some ornaments on it. Your nativity set is a pretty one beneath your Christmas tree. I just finished sipping Trader Joe's Candy Cane green tea. I tried finding the Celestial Seasoning's one that you love, but it was nowhere to be found.
Merry Christmas blessings, Margie! Hope you're feeling better!
