Tea Lemonade

The iced tea season is in full swing and I recently tried out Starbucks Matcha Tea Lemonade.

Matcha and lemonade seems like a weird combo but it worked for these taste buds!
The green beverage tasted sweet and refreshing.

Tea lemonade is so easy to make that I experimented with another odd mashup at home:
Jasmine Creme Brulee Green Tea (by David's Tea) and lemonade.

Result: a sweet, citrusy drink with light jasmine flavour.

Have you tried any bizarre tea drinks lately?

I'm joining the following parties this week:

  1. Hi Margie, your are certainly quite adventurous when it comes to possibilities of preparing tea variations!
I am exactly the opposite of you, I don't even do iced teas, just a regular brewed cup is doing it for me. But that is very much enjoyed!
    Warm regards,
    Christina

  2. I'm afraid I'm a bit boring, I love my tea so much, but just can't imagine drinking it cold. Iced tea isn't a very big thing over here, though my husband does like iced lemon tea xx

  4. You are a very adventurous tea-drinker! Me? Not so much. But as the temperatures are heating up, I think some iced tea might be in order.

  5. I still haven't tried matcha tea, Margie. I do love reading about your flavor adventures. I recently tried a blackberry/pineapple infusion from Starbucks and I liked it, but it wasn't a tea.

  6. Margie, Those are interesting combinations. I have tried Bengal Spice this summer but a prefer an iced tea with a lemon citrus flavor. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sylvia D.

  7. I'm not a fan of matcha but I bet the lemonade would make me a fan haha. You DID give me an idea though. I have been buying those low calorie 'fizzy' waters that Aldi sells because they contain no preservatives for artificial sweeteners and I've given up soda and caffeine. I'm thinking I might try a splash of that in one of my teas!

  8. I'm not so adventurous with my tea but I am with food. I love trying new dishes but I do draw the line at haggis. Creme Brulee Green tea sounds nice but I'm not overly fond of jasmine. Actually, I'm not overly fond of any flowery tea. Sipping a nice iced tea with lemon today because the weather calls for it. Oh, I do love the summer! Hope you are enjoying yours, Margie.

  9. I think I need to be braver with tea - perhaps SB would let me have a sample taste before making the plunge? : - )

Thanks for the recommendations. Hugs. ♥

  10. Hi Margie!
I'm glad you stopped over to my blog... I followed you back! :) No, I'm pretty boring when it comes to tea. My stomach gets unhappy when I branch out too much; however, that being said, when I'd go over to friends' homes and they'd serve different teas I would try them. I do like Republic of Tea's Peach Tea. It's good. A friend here in Texas makes her own: she brews black tea bags, then adds Lipton's Peach Iced Tea from a mix, some fresh squeezed lemon. Makes a good sweet tea! I like Starbuck's breakfast tea when I do stop by.
Have a lovely rest of your week,
    Barb :)

  11. Margie, that jasmine one might be quite nice. I don't drink a lot of iced tea, but it is quite refreshing in very hot weather. As others have said, I'm not too adventurous with my tea drinking: Just give a proper cup of a strong black tea.

  12. You always try the best things! I wouldn't have expected the marcha mix to be tasty. But your brew with David's blend sounds lovely!
Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea, and have a lovely week!

  15. I would love to try something different this weekend. The organic Florida lemons I've been buying are so good. I always add lots of lemon to regular tea so I know I would love a new combo! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!
