Recent Purchases

At the beginning of September, I went to a local artisan market where I found this beautiful stained glass "pouring teapot".

Of course, it came home with me!

The full illumination from the sun.

Impulse purchase of the week: this cute lilac chest with ceramic drawers.
I bought it at the local thrift store for only $3 and thought that I can use it to store my teabags...

...but the teabags turned out to be too big! Whoops!
I'll just have to find another use for them.

What's your impulse purchase this month?

I'm joining the following parties this week:

  1. Love your stained glass teapot, Margie! It's perfect for you. The wee tea chest is really cute and it's too bad the tea bags don't fit. I'm sure you'll find a use for it. I will share my impulse purchase perhaps next week. Couldn't resist and I sure didn't need them. But sometimes a lady simply can't help herself! ;) Have a super day.

  3. Love your pretty stained glass pouring teapot, Margie! Your little cabinet is so cute, but too bad about the teabags not fitting. Maybe the pyramid types of teabags would work? I impulse bought a lavender bath bomb, lavender body butter, and some bubble bath this weekend. I guess I spoiled myself!! I did buy some gifts for my tea exchange person, which was fun.

  4. The teapot stained glass tea catcher is so pretty! What a great find. I can't think of anything I bought on impulse recently; perhaps I should set out to do so!

  5. Margie the tea pot sun catchers would have come home with me also. I had no impulse buys or any kind of buys this week, I stayed home and cleaned out a few closets. We haven't lived here for a year yet but I have to clean closets already.

  6. Love the teapot, and your chest. I'm sure there is a place and use for it, maybe sweetener packets.

  7. Oh, where do I even begin! I simply love both purchases, by friend. The tea pot sun catcher is incredibly beautiful and so unique. It must look perfect in your home.

And yout sweet little chest with drawers is darling for holding your tea bags...too bad they were too big. I have an idea you will find a good use for them soon.

    Hugs to you!

  8. Oh but those are GOOD impulse purchases! That pouring teapot is so pretty -- I've never seen anything like that. The ceramic drawers are very pretty -- too bad about the tea bags not fitting but there are so many things you could use that for I'm sure you'll figure that out! I'm pretty good about avoiding impulse buys so I don't have any that I can think of -- but the month isn't over haha!

  10. I recently bought a teacup for $5.00. You would NEVER believe it cost that little! It's beautiful! I'm going to show it on my blog one of these days soon. It was hand painted and has "punch outs" (I'm sure there's a real name for that) on the saucer...just so very pretty. I enjoyed popping in on your blog today. :)

  11. Such cute finds Margie! Stained glass in the window is always so pretty, and that teapot is such a pretty shade of blue. Shame about the small drawers ... maybe candies?
I try not to impulse buy anymore. I'm still working on impulse reducing and will go on impulsive rampages of decluttering in my home. In one week I have yet another big pile of stuff to head to the goodwill store. Woohoo!!

  15. The stained glass teapot is adorable and perfect for you. Too bad the teabags didn't fit in the cute little chest. What did you decide to store in it? Jewelry? Money? Little soaps? Candies?

  16. Margie, cute! Would it work on your desk to hold paper clips and office stuff? Or in your bedroom or bath to hold bobby pins, safety pins, cotton balls, etc?
