Falling off the tea wagon

One of my goals this year was to use up the teas I already own. I made it halfway through the year before I purchased any new teas.

I found these Whittard of Chelsea teas at Marshall's AFTER we had our Mad Hatter tea party at the office. (Cue Alanis Morissette: Isn't it ironic?)

The Garden Party Oolong contains pieces of my favourite tropical fruits: papaya, strawberry, and pineapple.

I'm a marketer's dream: I bought the Piccadilly Blend black tea because I liked the caddy's cute design.

Last week, my 10-cup teapot made its debut at a pop-up tea at the office. One of my colleagues came up with the perfect name:
Black Beauty.

  1. I caught your "ironic" cue, Margie! You're so clever! The tea containers are way too cute, and don't feel too badly about "falling off the tea wagon"! I love your teapot that's in your first photo, and I'm sure "black beauty" enjoyed her debut at the pop up tea party at work. I'll bet everyone went back to work with a smile on their face after their cup of tea.

  3. Margie, you are too funny, but oh so clever! I would have brought the tea caddy home too because it really is cute and you can reuse it. The teapot in your first photo really is adorable surrounded by the wee Alice figurines. I eat pineapple almost every day and I'm waiting for the strawberries to appear in the grocery store. Believe it or not, I've never eaten papaya. That is a fruit I must try next time especially since it has lots of health benefits. Black Beauty is a perfect name for your ten cup teapot. Happy Summer, Margie!

  4. That's great Margie that you made it half way through the year before buying more teas! Girl....I think you done good! Better disciplined than me I can assure you. I had a cup of tea yesterday about 3:30 to perk me up a bit. I am a coffee drinker in the mornings for sure but I do enjoy a cup of tea occasionally in the afternoons. Wish we could enjoy a cup together. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  5. Margie, Whittard's have the best tins, don't they?! I understand completely why you couldn't resist. What a perfect debut for Black Beauty!

  6. A half a year? I'd say you've done very well for staying on the tea wagon that long. Nice to see your big pot pressed in service. What name did they give it -- Black Beauty. I'd say that's about perfect.
