At the beginning of August, I went to Canada's largest outdoor antique market, Aberfoyle Antique Market.
The market is open every Sunday
(April-October) and offers antiques, vintage items and
collectibles from over 100 vendors--a treasure hunter's heaven!
There were teacups GALORE!
(Due to the crowds, I only photographed a few displays).
I loved the yellow gilded teacup on the bottom right corner.
My willpower prevailed and I left without taking any of the teacups home with me.
I had fun browsing and would definitely go back!
The other day, I spotted this super cute microfibre hand towel at the local Dollarama store.
I just couldn't say no to this adorable purple teacup.
You can never have too many tea towels, right?!?
I'm joining the following parties this week:
Looks like the perfect place to shop for a teacup exchange teacup. You may need to go back.
ReplyDeleteHi Margie! What a wonderful view!I must learn with you and not buying more teacups...I have NO storage space! But I think I would be crazy there with so many gorgeous porcelain!Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed that you could resist buying a teacup, Margie. You do have great willpower!! The tea towel is something that I would've bought. It's so cute and perfect for you with the purple teacup.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous teacups !! I wouldn't be able to leave and you could resist not buying any? Amazing!
ReplyDeleteI know how hard it is to tell your self no, but I get it. When shopping for the past few years I've had to walk away because if I can't think of a place for it right away then I say no. My home can only hold so so much. Thanks for sharing Margie you always seem to find such fun things to see or do.
ReplyDeleteThat would be MY kind of place to spend the day! That sure is a lot of teacups! We have a very large flea market that runs here from March - December (colder months all booths are indoors) at a large county fairground. It's only the first weekend of each month and do you know I've only been able to go ONCE this year!?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great antique market! I'm shocked that you didn't even buy the pretty yellow teacup, but good for you and your will power to resist ;) What a cute tea towel!
ReplyDeleteOkay, I just gasped out loud when you said you left withou any tea cups...WHAT?! I don't know how you managed it, my friend. I surely would have left with one....two....or maybe ten! HA :)
ReplyDeleteHugs!
I agree -- you can never have too many tea towels -- especially with teapots or teacups as decoration. That looks like a great market. I admire your will-power! Happy Tea Day!
ReplyDeleteMargie, I have to say that had I gone to that market I probably would have had to take at least one teacup home. Oh my, and there were so many pretty ones too! What fun! Your tea towel suits you. My son informed me when he was home that I need to stock up on new tea towels. ;-) So I have gotten two but I need to purchase a few more. I think I will take a stroll into Dollarama one of these days to see what they have. Maybe I'll find some with tea things on them. Always a pleasure to visit you, Margie. Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteMy head is spinning Margie - wow - teacups galore! I would of been so tempted. I am so glad you got to attend that event - great fun and thank for for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteI need one of these events near me. Wonderful to see them all together.
ReplyDeleteI'm astounded at your willpower in resisting those beautiful teacups. But what fun to find a teacup tea towel.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Moving on to see the news.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
I want them all!
Loved it.
Good start to the month of September.
