Last weekend, I had the opportunity to check out the Christmas Bazaar at my parents' church.
I was pleasantly surprised to find numerous gift baskets containing teapots, teacups, infusers and teas...
...and vintage English bone china teacups!
Be still my heart!
I didn't need any more teawares, but I figured that the $$$ would go to a worthy cause...
...so I brought home this fun basket!
Contents included: a purse, scarf, Frieda Kahlo socks, water bottle, memo pad and chocolates.
The reason I got the basket: My eagle-eye spotted this super cute teapot on this fun purse.
I also couldn't resist bringing home this pretty teacup with a lavender band which is part of the Royal Albert's Gaiety Series - Tango.
Have you shopped for a charity recently?
Yea for you in giving to a good cause, Margie, and you got some wonderful goodies in return! Your new teacup is perfect for you and it looks like there are treats inside to enjoy. I hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteWonderful goodies in your basket, Margie! The new teacup is a pretty one and suits you to a T-ea! Can't ever go wrong with Royal Albert. It's always nice when we can give to a charitable cause.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been out and about very much but we did go to S'side last week where we visited a shop. I did come home with a couple of things. Soon the stores will be very busy with Christmas shopping which I will stay away from as I don't like crowds. I will be busy myself with decorating and baking the next little while. Love this new season that's coming upon us quickly! Have a wonderful week, Margie.
The Christmas bazaars and craft sales start around here this coming weekend.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to any bazaars or craft sales yet, but hope to go to at least one with my daughter. I love that teacup - it's such a pretty shape with an equally pretty pattern. The basket of goodies is lovely. Helping out charity causes this way is a win-win.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cups and saucers....and to be made as little gifts. Nice. Thanks for coming to the blog and stopping to leave a comment.

What is it about teacups that we just can't resist? I think it is great to support local charities, and a bonus for you to add to your collection :)

ReplyDeleteLots of beautiful things for sure and yes, for a good cause. I agree that it makes it better if you know your purchase is helping someone. Those filled teacups would have been my downfall -- so many pretty ones!
ReplyDeleteMargie, I don't think I could have resisted one or two of those teacups myself!
ReplyDeleteA nice selection, That tea cup deserves a nice home, glad you got it.
