Early Tea-Themed Christmas Gifts

"Thou shalt not steal." But this commandment doesn't apply when you're playing Secret Santa (Yankee Swap) at work...

Of course, I had to "steal" this beautiful pair of tea cups from the co-worker who selected this gift.

But my co-worker bore no ill will towards me as my "theft" gave her the opportunity to pick another present that she actually wanted!

Last Friday, another work colleague surprised me with this gorgeous tea set ornament. She had been saving this ornament for 20 years (!) for someone special.

We had bonded over our love of tea and she gave me the tea ornament because she knew how much I would love it. I was so humbled and touch by this generous gesture. I will always treasure this tea ornament.

It's hard to believe that we're more than halfway through Advent now!

  1. Your floral teacups with spoons are so pretty, Margie. And that wee tea set ornament is just adorable! What a heart warming gift from your friend! You could almost open your own little shop because you have such a wonderful collection. I may not make it back after this week because my family is arriving tomorrow. That is if the storm doesn't delay the flight. We're getting two storms back to back. Bad timing! Anyway, one can't do a thing about the weather. Merry Christmas, Margie! Enjoy your teas and the love of your family and friends. Hugs.

  2. Those teacups that you stole were perfect for you, Margie! The ornament that your coworker and tea-friend ave you just touched my heart. She knew that you'd appreciate that special ornament. You were certainly blessed!
I stole from my group of friends party, too. I stole a pretty embroidered pillow that says "Jingle", and I put it on my bed.

  4. Lovely set of teacups (and matching spoons) from your swap. (We call it White Elephant here.) The flowers remind me of Georgia O'Keeffe's famous poppy painting.
That tea ornament is a real gem. So wonderful that your friend gifted it to you. She knows you would appreciate it and treasure it with care.
I'm still on the lookout for a tea Advent calendar. Yours has quite the variety.
