Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!
My family is not a fan of pumpkin pie so the only pumpkin pie that I had during the long weekend was this blizzard from Dairy Queen. My favourite part was the crunchy pie crust. YUM!
I also enjoyed some tasty pumpkin loaf (from Whole Foods) with a cup of jasmine green tea.
This 7-minute video, "An Experiment in Gratitude", by SoulPancake is a nice reminder to express appreciation to our loved one and shows that giving thanks can boost our own happiness!
Thank you for visiting my little corner of Blogland today!
I'm joining the following parties this week:
Happy Thanksgiving, dear Margie! I'm sure the DQ treat was soooo yummy. I'm going back to view the video...we all need to give thanks.
ReplyDeleteI loved the video, Margie! One thing that I do every night is remember three things that I'm thankful for. Tonight, I'll remember that you shared this video that reminds us to be thankful. Love and God Bless You.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, sweet friend! I am so thankful we were able to "meet" through blogging.
ReplyDeleteHave a most beautiful and blessed day. Hugs!
Happy Thanksgiving Margie. My daughter and I made a pumpkin pie cake which was delicious but we did miss having our pie.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving, Margie! I love that first picture of a pumpkin in a cup....Christine
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I'm not the only one that doesn't like pumpkin pie :) Hope you had a lovely weekend with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE DQ pumpkin pie blizzard!! My friend and I drove all the way to Arnprior to get one. Worth the drive!
ReplyDeleteI've never had pumpkin pie, but the pumpkin loaf looks good xx
ReplyDeleteYour little pumpkin in a cup is so cute, Margie. The DQ treat looks good. I've never tried it. I would miss my pumpkin pie if I didn't have it because it's one of my favourites. Lately I've been making a crustless pumpkin pie which is delicious and there are less calories. :-) Have a fabulous week and we're all thankful for you, Margie!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Love the cute pumpkin and I love the video.. And I just love pumpkin pie... I think all my family does..i cant imagine people not liking it but i know there are some... Happy Thanksgiving margie with love Janice
ReplyDeleteMargie, I didn't have a lot of time so almost put off watching the video. Then I said, it's only 7 minutes, go ahead. So glad I did -- it was very uplifting and made a great point!
ReplyDeleteYou know, even though I'm in the U.S., maybe I should start celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving as well... Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday! That pumpkin pie blizzard sounds interesting...I'd never heard of a blizzard with pie crust. I just had some pumpkin pie at a friend's house last week. It was good! My family used to make a lot of pumpkin pies, but then we grew sweet potatoes. Sweet potato pies taste very similar to pumpkin pies, and we ate one pie after another of those. I think everybody got a bit tired of them. But it seems we're starting to get back to eating pumpkin pie in moderation again. :D
ReplyDeleteYes, gratitude is so important. We all need to be reminded! Cute posting! Thanks for sharing and linking.
ReplyDeleteI'm far behind in blogging. Happy Belated Thanksgiving!! I'm sorry that you weren't eating pumpkin pie ... something my family treasures right up there with the turkey and stuffing.
ReplyDeleteLoved the video, but why did an experiment in happiness make me cry? Maybe I need to write a paragraph to the person that influenced me most in my life ;)
Wendy
I wish I wasn't a fan of pumpkin pie -- I could eat a whole one by myself! :D (I *could* but I *don't*!)
ReplyDeleteMargie, Loved the video. Thanks for sharing it. Sylvia D.
