Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!
Pumpkin teapot by Kaldun & Bogle |
The lovely autumn/Thanksgiving cards that I received from my Canadian card and tea exchange group.
To celebrate Fire Prevention Week (Oct 8-14), I'm sharing this adorable fire safety for kids' book called "No Dragons for Tea".
Last spring, McDonald Canada's Happy Meals offered mini versions of this book (they could fit in the palm of my hand). If you missed the promo, you can also purchase the book from regular or online bookstores.

My stone cold heart melted a little when I saw this sweet photo of Greenwich firefighters hosting a tea party with isolated seniors as part of their fire safety education program for older adults.
Thank you for visiting my blog today!
Happy Thanksgiving, here in the U.S. ours is in November!
ReplyDeleteI love your pumpkin tea pot and oh wonderful the firefighters gave a Tea Party for the Seniors!
Happy Thanksgiving, Margie! Love your pumpkin teapot! The firefighters do so much for our communities, don't they? They are heroes in my book! Have a super day with family and friends.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Margie! So glad you are feeling better. Your display is perfect for the holiday. That book is so cute! I certainly haven't seen it. Would have loved that when I taught kindergarten. Have a lovely week and thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

ReplyDeleteWe just got home from the great north so I haven't checked the mail for the rest of the cards from the group. Yours make a nice display.

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friend! I love the Fox card. I wish our firemen would host a tea for seniors. I think I'm old enough to attend. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I love that about the firefighters hosting a tea party for seniors. WOW! Our Thanksgiving is Nov but happy Thanksgiving to you dear lady. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that I'm late to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving, my friend! I hope it was a wonderful one for you and your family.
ReplyDeleteThe book looks like a darling one and the firefighters having tea, melted my heart, too.
What a darling photo of the firefighters having tea with the seniors. Such love and kindness!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
Your stone-cold heart??!! Bah! Margie, you are one of the nicest people I know ;)
ReplyDeleteNow did you completely ignore any important fire safety message in the book and zero in on the teapots and teacups only? Dragons and teacups! What a combination.
Are these the same firefighters that make "those" calendars? Everybody loves a fireman, right?
Your card display looks really nice, and of course, in total disregard for the thankful theme, I am coveting that sweet pumpkin teapot!
Ok ... I'm done.
Have a great (short!) week. They're the best.
