I won't have to worry about running out of stock during Hot Tea Month (or the next 6 months)! These teas from international (Italy), national (Alberta) and local (Greater Toronto Area) tea shops are all new to me and I look forward to trying them out!
One of my work friends surprised me with this lovely vintage sugar and cream set which had belonged to her husband's aunt. I love the chintz design--it'll go well with my other teawares!
Now I have to keep an eye out for the matching cups and saucers at local thrift stores...
Anything purple and tea-related are always enthusiastically received! This is the first Japanese cast iron teapot in my collection.
I was also delighted to receive these unique gifts: a set of 3 cork "Kettle" trivets; a fun magnet (the message is so true!); and interesting notecards featuring traditional Scottish tea room recipes on the back. Not pictured: a jolly Santa teapot, a miniature tea set, and tea ornaments which I neglected to photograph before packing them away.
Last, but not the least, are these super cute Disney Princess Tea Set. Be my guest...or heads will roll!
Look at this stuff.
Isn't it neat?

Wouldn't you think my collection's complete?
Edited to fix photos.
I'm joining the following parties this week:
Wow, what a nice (and large) variety of tea you received for Christmas! I've never heard of Maple Earl Grey and would love to hear what you think of it. I have heard of Vanilla Earl Grey and Lavender Earl Grey. Have a good week!
ReplyDeleteYour family and friends do indeed know you well and indulged your tea loving nature. What fun! I'm interested in hearing about the Maple Earl Grey too. Thanks for joining me for tea and enjoy your week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
That cream and sugar are wonderful as I recognize the backstamp. I had a teapot at my shop which I sold that had that stamp from the 1940's. Thanks for sharing your teas you were gifted with and so glad you shared at Friends Sharing Tea!
ReplyDeleteGreat addition to your collection! Even though I am not a huge princess fan, I have to say...that Disney set is very cute.
ReplyDeleteThat cream and sugar is really pretty and I love your little Disney tea set! Too Cute!

ReplyDeleteOh, I'm not a Disney Princess fan, but those teapots are SO cute!
ReplyDeleteYou were certainly blessed with wonderful tea related items and I know they'll be put to good use.
ReplyDeleteHi Margie,
ReplyDeleteI love your new collectible cream and sugar. Chintz is my favourite! The Disney tea characters are so sweet. Your friends do know you well. Thank you for visiting me! Happy Tea Day! Karen
Hi Margie
ReplyDeleteYou got some great new teas to try and I collect tea canisters so love the one with the black cat on. Nice to be gifted with the cream and sugar and you know I like the purple Japanese teapot. Tea friend Snap (Tales from Twisty Lane) blog has a few of the Japanese pots and has written about them several times. The Japanese BD tea card is for her. ;-)
Welcome to blogland Margie! Thanks for introducing yourself to me. Looks like some wonderful gifts, and lots of good teas to try.
ReplyDeleteHi Margie, welcome to blogging! It looks like you got a great haul of tea related Christmas gifts. Those Disney princess teapots are really cool. It looks like you drink the tea from the heads? I hope you have a great night!
ReplyDeleteHi Margie and how nice to meet you! A kindred spirit! I apologize for my late reply...been on break. Back from break with a feeling-better-Honey!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!
