Pumpkins and Scarecrows

At a recent visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), I saw some unique pumpkins.

2015 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Ghost'

2016 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Triamble'

2017 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Galeuse D'eysines'

The Christmas bazaar season has begun! I didn't really need another coaster set, but I couldn't resist these charming fabric tea-themed coasters. The colours are perfect for fall.

The Keeping Room
At this year's Scarecrow Saturday in the Valley, Scare Bear served a creepy feast: salad of ball, spook-getti, pumpkin gut cupcakes.

The Beanermunky Chocolate
I was happy that Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, won first prize.

If you're in the Greater Toronto area this weekend, come out to the RBG's Second Annual Tea Festival!

Pumpkins, Pumpkins Everywhere

A few weeks ago, we hosted an autumn tea social at the office.

We sipped Caramel Apple herbal tea in my Fire King peach luster teacups.
Once again, I forgot to photograph the food: veggies, samosas, crackers, hummus, and cookies.

I've managed to resist the urge to buy ALL the pumpkin teas out this season and limited myself to The Polar Tea Co.'s pumpkin chai. This tea contains real pumpkin pieces and was delicious with milk.

Pumpkin Treat #1: Pumpkin spice whoopie pie

Pumpkin Treat #2: Pumpkin spice scone enjoyed with Stash's decaf pumpkin spice tea.

Pumpkin Treat #3: Foundy's pumpkin spice ice cream was DELISH!
I wished that I had stocked up on this limited edition ice cream.

Pumpkin Treat #4: Pumpkin Spice chocolate by Lindt.

What pumpkin teas and treats have you been enjoying this season?

Giving Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians!

Pumpkin teapot by Kaldun & Bogle
The lovely autumn/Thanksgiving cards that I received from my Canadian card and tea exchange group.

To celebrate Fire Prevention Week (Oct 8-14), I'm sharing this adorable fire safety for kids' book called "No Dragons for Tea".

Last spring, McDonald Canada's Happy Meals offered mini versions of this book (they could fit in the palm of my hand). If you missed the promo, you can also purchase the book from regular or online bookstores.

My stone cold heart melted a little when I saw this sweet photo of Greenwich firefighters hosting a tea party with isolated seniors as part of their fire safety education program for older adults.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!

Liquid Therapy

The cold bug got me last week so I've been drinking copious amounts of herbal teas.

Lemon ginger herbal tea with honey

Apple Cinnamon

Caramel Apple
Both the apple teas contain chamomile which is supposed to help a cold, right???
What teas do you drink when you're feeling under the weather?
