Pumpkins and Scarecrows

At a recent visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), I saw some unique pumpkins.

2015 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Ghost'

2016 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Triamble'

2017 Favourite Pumpkin Winner: 'Galeuse D'eysines'

The Christmas bazaar season has begun! I didn't really need another coaster set, but I couldn't resist these charming fabric tea-themed coasters. The colours are perfect for fall.

The Keeping Room
At this year's Scarecrow Saturday in the Valley, Scare Bear served a creepy feast: salad of ball, spook-getti, pumpkin gut cupcakes.

The Beanermunky Chocolate
I was happy that Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, won first prize.

If you're in the Greater Toronto area this weekend, come out to the RBG's Second Annual Tea Festival!

I'm joining the following parties this week:

  1. Well done with the Halloween decorating Valley Town!! Love your little coasters (resistance, sometimes, is futile). Happy Halloween Margie!

  2. Love the tea coasters, Margie, and what unique pumpkins! I have never seen a pumpkin like the one that won this year. My, but Ontario must be a fun place to live. You always have such interesting places to go. Have a lovely day!

  3. I love seeing all the fun places you go to, Margie! Those coasters are so pretty, and go to see that I couldn't resist something tea-themed. Happy Halloween!

  4. That pumpkin is so unusual, Margie. It is so deserving of winning. Awesome event and love the coasters!...Christine

  5. Oh what fun! You do the neatest things, Margie! Hugs!

  6. Oohhhh....can,t wait for our first bazaar on Friday...and we are supposed to have our first snow too! Love all the pumpkins. They are certainly coming out with lots of varieties. Love the tea coasters...they would have come home with me for sure! Thanks so much for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea.

  7. Lovely fall deco, Happy Halloween

  8. Beautiful - I don't think I could have resisted those coasters! I have yet to go to any bazaars this season - I've been too busy. Maybe that's a GOOD thing haha!

  9. Margie, would love to go to that tea event! Love your new coasters - I wouldn't have been able to resist them either.

  10. Love all the cool pumpkin shapes out there. My favorite are the little white baby boos. You find the best tea events to go to! It hard to resist tea-related things, for sure. xo Deborah

  11. I'm with you, I would have gone home with the tea coasters as well.

  12. Loving those coasters! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  13. What a fun menu there - love the spin on Spaghetti! Thanks for sharing the unique pumpkins!
