Teas for Canada Day

When my brother came home for a brief visit, he brought some new teas from a Canadian-owned tea shop, Totalitea, that will be perfect for celebrating Canada Day (July 1).

Totalitea #1: Chinook Breeze green tea had blue pea flowers that made the tea looked blue.

Totalitea #2: Rocky Mountain Herbs herbal tea

Totalitea #3: Nanaimo Bar black tea was enjoyed with a cookie inspired by the same Canadian dessert!

Spring decor at HomeSense and Michael's

We're still covered in snow here, but the stores are filled with early spring vibes.

Floral and fruit-themed teawares at HomeSense (aka HomeGoods in the U.S.).

There were also some cute bunnies at HomeSense.

Michael's also had this sweet bunny in a pink teacup...

...as well as charming tea-themed spring decor!

The adorable ceramic bunny in a floral teacup came home with me!

3rd Annual Ginormous High Tea Party at Steve's Teas

Last Saturday, I attended the 3rd Annual Ginormous High Tea Party hosted at Steve's Teas party.

Since the tea room was busy, I didn't get much photos during the party. But you can see the charming decor from my visit back in April.

The fireplace mantle's elegant fall decor.

Complimentary cucumber sandwiches and scones with Devonshire cream and jam were offered.

There were 3 different teas available:
1) Decaf Caramel Apple Iced Black Tea
2) Cream Earl Grey Black Tea
3) Sweet Chai O'Mine Black Tea (loved the name!)

I brought this pretty pink teacup from my collection to compete in 2024's Fanciest Tea Cup in Brantford, but I didn't win.

I enjoyed the Sweet Chai O'Mine Black Tea and Decaf Caramel Apple Iced Black Tea.

We loved the delicious scones so much that we purchased some for take-out.

I also brought home the tasty Apple Cider black tea.

Tea time at home: Scone with the tasty Vanilla Honeybush.

Steve's Teas

A few weeks ago, I visited Steve's Teas store and tea room in Brantford, Ontario.

I had been following Steve's Teas on Instagram for a while, but this was my first time visiting their storefront and tea room!

The spacious tea room serves lunch and cream, low, and afternoon tea.

I loved how the bone china teacups and teapots were displayed.

Steve's Teas has a collection of more than 300 (!) teas.

This wall featured oolongs and black teas.

This wall featured the herbal and green teas, as well as mugs.

I exercised GREAT restraint and only brought home 5 teas.

Steve's Teas had an impressive collection of Earl Grey blends.

Left: The Raspberry Cream Earl Grey black tea was a unique, fruity twist of the classic Cream Earl Grey.

Right: The Butterscotch Cream Earl Grey black tea was a smooth and creamy blend.

I also went bananas for the  Banana Pancakes black tea (left) and Banana Bread Chai black tea (right). Both blends also tasted amazing with milk!

I'm always on the lookout for watermelon teas and was thrilled to find this delicious Summer Melon black tea.

The staff at Steve's  Teas were so friendly and helpful. I look forward to going back to try their afternoon tea and purchasing more of their in-house tea blends!
