Tea and Timbits

Last weekend, I enjoyed some tea and timbits for tea time.

I tried out Tim Hortons' new timbits: The French-inspired Chocolate Cream Brulee filled Timbit, and the Brazilian-inspired Lime Cheesecake filled Timbit. They were both tasty, but I preferred the Lime Cheesecake Timbit!

In my teacup: Dessert by Deb's Strawberry Oat Milk herbal tea.

I was pleasantly surprised to see an African (?) violet pop up in the plant that I bought a couple of weeks ago. I didn't expect it to bloom so quickly!

A teacup with a snack plate

I recently acquired a vintage bone china teacup with a matching snack plate from a friend who was looking to rehome the set.

Of course, I was more than happy to give this lovely set a new home!

Last weekend, I went to my church's plant sale and picked up a couple of indoor plants: violets and a Christmas cactus.

I accidentally scratched the inside of the pink floral teacup, so I repurposed it as a planter for my Christmas cactus! Here's hoping that these 2 plants will fare better than the Easter lilies

A mug from a church rummage sale

Last Saturday, I attended the first church rummage sale of the season. They didn't have any vintage bone china teacups or teapots, but I did spot this pretty floral contemporary mug.

Did I need another mug? No.

But it was only $1 CAD...

...and I loved how the interior said "A cup of tea just for me".

So I considered the mug purchase as a charity donation!

Tea Empties

 I can't believe that it's May!

April tea empties

What I will restock
1. Dessert by Deb's Vanilla Pear Winter Cake rooibos

Do you remember the Oriental lilies that I purchased in late March?

I was thrilled when the lilies started to bloom in mid-April!

But then the leaves started to fall off and the remaining buds started to turn brown...

Maybe I watered the lilies too much?
