Garage Sale Mystery: Murderless Version

Church garage/rummage sales are the best places to hunt for teawares. Last Saturday, I went to a "mammoth garage sale" at a local church. I don't need another teacup...

...but this pastel beauty caught my eye and I couldn't leave it behind.
Yellow is one of my favourite colours and the teacup was only $5!

The swirly design has strong Aynsley vibes. If you know which English pottery made the teacup, please let me know.

I also scored this Emma Bridgewater piece for only $2!
The seller thought it might be a candle holder or cookie container. The inside had remnants of either spices of tea leaves. My internet searches failed to identify its purpose.

What do you think this is?

Eggcellent Easter Treats

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

How cute is this tea cosy?
It's so big that it covers the entire 6-cup teapot!

I finally tried a cream egg brownie.

I also enjoyed a mini-egg cookie.

What Easter-themed treats did you try this month?

Some bunny loves tea!

The bunnies are out in full force in the Valley.

My green/white toile rabbit teapot was a HomeSense find from a few years ago.

My violet chintz tea set includes a teapot, sugar, creamer, and 6 demitasse cups and saucers.

Last week, we had an Easter-themed tea social at work.
My co-workers brought in some healthy foods...

...and yummy sweet treats!

My cup of Tiger Eye Black Tea (a chocolate and caramel tea by Adagio Tea) and some "bunny mix" and cookies.

Wishing you a joyful Easter season!

A Persian-inspired tea time

This month, I finally went to Nannaa Persian Eatery, a new restaurant that's been on my to-visit list for months.

This is what I came for: Nannaa Tea, a tasty blend of cardamon black tea and fresh mint, and chickpea cookies.

The "melt in your mouth" chickpea cookies were smaller than expected, but were a great (and healthy!) treat to enjoy with the Nannaa tea.

Have you ever had a chickpea-based dessert?

Hello, April!

So this is what spring looks like in the Valley...

Photo taken on March 31 2019
...and why I wait until late April/early May to put away my winter attire.

I went to a book sale last weekend and purchased a copy of "Anne of Green Gables". The 1985 TV mini-series starring Megan Follows will always be my favourite big screen adaptation.

As the temperatures sloooowly warm up, I've started drinking more cold beverages. This is a cream-base frappuccino version of the black sesame tea latte. Very tasty!

How's spring looking in your corner of the world?
