It's Not Easy Being Green

I acquired my one and only green teacup a few years ago at a church garage sale (one of my favourite places to hunt for teawares). The teacup did not have a matching saucer so it was offered to me for only 10 cents! Sold!

The teacup has a crocus shape and an angular handle.

I love the gold filigree on the outside and the purple violets inside of the cup.

This Aynsley backstamp was established after 1960.

Time to visit the other tea parties!

I'm joining the following parties this week:

  3. Margie, your orphaned teacup is really pretty. It will be fun looking for a saucer to marry it with. That handle is so comfortable to hold. I have an Aynsley too with the same handle. Thank you for sharing and joining me for tea. Happy St Patricks Day!

    Blessings,
    Sandi

  10. Hi Margie! I shared an Aynsley this week too :) The teacup is really pretty, I like how the outside is solid (and the pretty gold filigree) with the flowers only inside the cup. It looks really pretty with the green cottage teapot, or is it a real clock? Happy St. Paddy's day!
