Heart to Heart

On the first Saturday of February, I attended Knox Church's Valentine Tea. This was my first afternoon tea experience at Knox Church and was very impressed by the decor, delicious foods, and attentive staff.

The Valentine-themed tables.

Our table settings.

We shared a table with a couple who have been married for 60 years!

The scrumptious sandwiches and sweets enjoyed with countless cups of Cream Earl Grey.

Last week, we had a Valentine Tea Social at the office.
We sipped "The Earl's Valentine" from my Inside Out heart cups and saucers.

Our "healthy" treats covered the food groups: grains (pretzels and cookies at the top); vegetables (beet chips at the top right); and fruits (bottom).

I'm not usually a big floral tea drinker, but this month, I've been enjoying Dilmah's Rose with French Vanilla black tea... well as David's The Earl's Valentine--an Earl Grey blended with chocolate and rosebuds.

One of my tea friends surprised me with this sweet Valentine-themed package.
(not pictured: the popcorn which was quickly consumed by yours truly. Ha!)

The pretty in pink goodies from the pocket card.
A huge THANK YOU to Lynn!!!

Special thanks also go out to the blogger friends (you know who you are!) for the cute Valentine cards.

Happy Heart Month!

  11. Hi Margie,
You are always going out and about and having fun! The treats at the church looks amazing and your work place sounds fabulous! My favourite is the beautiful pink teacup in your last pic with the flowers on the inner cup. It is absolutely amazing. Is it an Aynsley or Paragon? Happy Tea Day Dear Margie! Karen

  12. What a wonderful tea you were able to attend. They did a terrific job.

  13. Mmmm . . . everything looks so delicious! Your heart-shaped cups are perfect for a Valentine's tea. I'm not big on floral-scented teas, either, but who can resist anything rose this time of year?

  14. Those Valentine treats look amazing. Those squares with the pale pink frosting ... so pretty. Your package from your friend is such fun. So sweetly done. I love the tag.

  15. So fun to be able to attend two Valentine tea parties! Recently I tried a cup of Cream Early Grey and really enjoyed it. I'm also not a big fan of floral teas, but some rose ones are quite nice. Love the food groups selected at your office party and the pretty pink heart package! What thoughtful friends.

  17. Margie, What a nice set of Valentine's events. The church tea looks great and must have tasted wonderful. The Steeped Tea cups are great. My 2 sisters have some. Earl Grey tea of any form would be on my try list. Have a great day! Sylvia D.

  18. Hi Margie! Early grey with chocolate and rosebuds sounds divine! Yum. The church tea looks wonderful! And like a lot of food :). Your cups are perfect for Valentine's day and your valentine's goody bag (envelope?) looks delish! My little Pony has definite nostalgia value.

Also, I made a pot of tea this afternoon and shared it with my mom and son. Guess what it was? Your delicious maple tea! Thank you so much for that! I shall have to share it on my next tea post. Hugs!
