Last Friday, I excitedly opened the first tea from my tea calendar.
This HUGE stocking was a HomeSense find. In November, I filled the pockets with teas from my collection. Sufficient time has passed so that the teas will still be a surprise.
Day 1: Bigelow Tea's Constant Comment
The mug rug underneath was given to me by a crafty co-worker.
My holiday teas carousel.
In addition to the teas from my Advent calendar, I'm also enjoying these seasonal teas.
So far, I've managed to contain the holiday tea collection in this 2-tier tray...
The tea-themed calendars that I've acquired for 2018.
How are your Christmas preparations going?
Margie, what a fun stocking! It's quite the find as well. My preparations are going slowly as I'm trying very hard to pace myself. I went to Davids Tea on the weekend and found some lovely Christmas teas. My nose enjoyed all the new scents they were offering. My hubby doesn't get it but that's OK. He is happy to indulge me while I taste/sip the new ones. Bigelow Constant Comment isn't available here which is a shame because I enjoy it. One was able to purchase Bigelow teas here at one time but for some reason, the stores don't carry it any longer. Have a wonderful new week and enjoy all your tea!
ReplyDeleteMy Mom used to give me Constant Comment tea every Christmas. I miss her, and the tea. Must look for some in this one horse town.
ReplyDeleteI love Constant Comment tea, Margie, and have a box of it here. I love your stocking that you've filled with teas. I've given Advent calendars, filled with tiny chocolates to all my grands. It looks like you'll be sampling many seasonal teas this winter. You'll have to tell what some of your favorites are.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great stocking! You are a true tea aficionado! I like the idea of preparing little gifts for yourself early on.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I would forget if I stocked it YESTERDAY! What a great idea to do this though. I need to look for more 'winter' or seasonal teas. Right now I'm hooked on Irish Morning which is a loose leaf blend from a local tea shop.
ReplyDeleteGreat calendars,so pretty!You are really a tea lover!!!Hugs!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome stocking! The idea is pretty neat and unique, Margie....Christine
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of a stocking filled with tea! I have never heard of this before. How fun! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteMargie, What a great find. A tea countdown calendar is a great idea. Thanks for sharing. Have a great week. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteThat tea calendar is a great idea! So clever! I have my holiday teas out as well...wouldn't be Christmas without them! And my annual Collectible Teapots calendar arrived yesterday, so I'm all set to turn over to a new year...but that's rushing it a bit! Lol! Have a wonderful week, and enjoy all the seasonal teas! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Oh, I do like the idea of a pocket advent calendar on a stocking. And trying a different tea every day ... what a fun way to count down the days till Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a beautiful day, Margie...

Margie, seeing the Constant Comment reminded me of my dear aunt. It was a favorite of hers and I only ever had it at her house - our "thing."
ReplyDeleteOh, what a sweet stocking and I just love your tea carousel...what a clever idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the lovely comments on my blog this past week. You know I always love hearing from you. And I'm so glad the card arrived. Merry Christmas to you, dear Margie!
Clever idea with the stocking full of teas! I love that you filled it and surprise yourself later ;) I have a tea tray on my bread box that I like to top up with special things at Christmas. Candy canes for hot chocolate and the hot chocolate itself! And teas, of course.
