Spotted at Winners/HomeSense: The English Tea Shop Advent Calendar was only $12.99 CDN for 24 teas ($0.54 CDN/cup). I was thisclose to buying it until I realized that the calendar only contained 12 unique flavours. So I passed.
Spotted at Denningers: Twinings "Tea for Two" Advent Calendar was $29.99 CDN and offered two teabags per day ($0.62 CDN/cup). London Drugs currently has it on sale for only $19.99 CDN.

Citizen Tea's 25 Day Tea Journey is $55 CDN, but makes up to 100 cups of tea ($0.55 CDN/cup). So it's actually reasonably priced for sampling loose leaf teas.
For the last 3 years, I've been making my own tea Advent calendar by filling this huge stocking (a HomeSense find) with teabags.
Do you have an Advent calendar?
I like your idea of filling your own stocking for using for a tea advent calendar. Someone sent me a tea advent calendar last year, and I kept it to re-use this year.
ReplyDeleteSo many to choose from, Margie, but I like your stocking. There are some lovely ones but your stocking is unique and it certainly is festive! Perfect for you. Have a wonderful last week of November. Can you believe it?
ReplyDeleteMaybe I've been living under a rock but I've not seen these at all before!! Haha! I love the idea and your stockings were a real find for that purpose. I'd sure love to get one of these as a gift . . . would be so fun to have a different tea each day.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness,I have never seen a tea advent calendar before. They're adorable and the perfect gift for a tea lover. I love how you make the stockings into a calendar-so very clever! I'll have to look for them next time I go to Home Goods (your Home Sense).
ReplyDeleteAngie, Thanks for reminding me I should be on the lookout for a tea advent calendar and your summary was helpful. I would love to have one I can reuse. Thanks for sharing and have a great week. Sylvia D.
ReplyDeleteI don't have one, have looked at them but thought them expensive. I love your idea of filling your own. That would make a lovely early gift for the tea lover.
ReplyDeleteLove your idea of doing your own tea stocking! They can be pretty pricey for sure. A friend of mine who is a major flavored coffee lover and likes to buy the sample packs does something like this but with flavored coffee. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThis is the first year I've noticed this type of Advent calendar, and I saw them in London Drugs. I have a more traditional Advent calendar where I hang an ornament each day. There seem to be some fun ways to count down December days!
ReplyDeleteNo,I haven't it but yours is pretty!I have never seen Advent calendar here...Hugs!
