I recently acquired a vintage bone china teacup with a matching snack plate from a friend who was looking to rehome the set.
Of course, I was more than happy to give this lovely set a new home!
Last weekend, I went to my church's plant sale and picked up a couple of indoor plants: violets and a Christmas cactus.
I accidentally scratched the inside of the pink floral teacup, so I repurposed it as a planter for my Christmas cactus! Here's hoping that these 2 plants will fare better than the Easter lilies!

These are beautiful, Margie.
ReplyDeleteI'm always up to home another's teacup treasure. There's nothing finer than drinking tea in a pretty teacup. The smiley yellow cup just makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteWhat charming teacup! Best wishes.
ReplyDelete🌸 Love how you repurposed the teacup into a planter.
ReplyDeleteHoping both plants thrive happily in their new home!
Your vintage snack set is a pretty one, Margie. I like the soft color of it and the delicate pattern. Your plants look so cute in your cups. Good luck with them and I hope they bloom. 💕
ReplyDeleteThose teacup and snack plate sets (hostess sets) are so practical. I don't know why they are not more popular. I have two vintage ones from my late mother-in-law, probably wedding presents from more than 70 years ago.
ReplyDeleteRepurposing your scratched up is a great idea!
