Given the recent birth of Britain's new Princess, it seems fitting that the first teacup that I share from this collection is by Royal Castle.
Yellow is one of my favourite colours so a yellow teacup is always a welcome addition to my collection.
The pink roses are exquisite!
The Royal Castle backstamp.
For the inaugural tea, I chose my favourite tea this spring: Davids Tea's Melon Drop.
The fruit infusion even matches the teacup's pretty yellow colour!
The Melon Drop tasted sweeter in this gorgeous teacup!
I'm joining the following parties this week:
I love it! Roses are my favorite and Pink is just beautiful! How generous of your friend.
ReplyDeleteI love the vintage teacup, and also how the teapot matches it, along with the tea blend! Perfect!

ReplyDeleteHi Margie: I have never seen that cup. It is so very cute. Love the large roses. Have a wonderful Mother's Day. Blessings, Martha
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty teacup! Love how the yellow brightens the pink roses. I have never heard of "Royal Castle" pottery before. So fun to learn about vintage or new English potteries. It certainly is the perfect teacup for Princess Charlotte.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice tea week,
Nora
Margie, it's 6:30am and you and all the people commenting are talking about how lovely the yellow is; and I am thinking I can't see yellow, what on earth is wrong with me!! I look again at the last photo and see the saucer is lemon and realize oh yes they are yellow. Gosh you got me really thinking there!! Woke me up as well. After all that, yes I like the set......
ReplyDeleteOh Margaret, what a lovely tea cup! The gold rim on the bottom is quite breathtaking. Enjoy your day, my friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, what a sweet and lovely teacup. It is made all the more special by being gifted from a friend and is a "pass along" teacup holding good memories.
ReplyDeleteBest, Ruthie
