It's red season!
Last Friday, I had a T party to celebrate the release of Taylor Swift's re-recording of her fourth album, Red (Taylor's Version)!
In my DYI "Begin Again" teacup: Dessert by Deb's Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie herbal tea.
"Begin Again" is one of my favourite songs on Red (TV). Can you see my red fringe scarf?
When I saw the $45 "Begin Again" teacup on the Taylor Swift store (which sold out quickly), I decided to try to DYI my own teacup. I found this cute white tea for one set at the thrift store for only $5.99.
I used a red Sharpie pen to write "Begin Again" on the mug. The red colour faded during the baking process, so I repeated this process several times until the red ink finally stayed.
I watched it begin again.
Begin again. Oh yes! Every morning brings us new mercies to do so, Margie ...
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job of your teacup, Margie. I'm not familiar with TS's music, although I know she is well liked. My son's in-laws have a summer home very close to hers. He saw it last summer when the family was spending some time at their home. I thought that was neat. Enjoy your week and your tea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute way to have your own "Begin Again" teacup!
ReplyDeleteLove that idea! Begin again!!! Looks adorable on your beautiful cup. I hope your week goes wonderful for you dear Margie. How is the weather your way? Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHow clever you are, Margie, and thrifty, too. You’re my kinda girl! Your begin again teacup turned out great, and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie tea sounds so yummy. Happy T time!
ReplyDeleteBegin again, I love that. I think we women beat ourself's up over so much that this should be our daily motto.
