October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

Sandi's (Rose Chintz Cottage) past pink tea time parties have inspired me to pull out my pink teacups and teapots to raise awareness and recognize those who have been affected by breast cancer.

Pumpkin teas in October

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends!

Every tea company offers their own version of a pumpkin spice tea. Because I'm SUPER picky about my pumpkin teas, I scrutinize the ingredients to confirm that the blend actually includes real pumpkin pieces, and not just the spices for pumpkins.

I managed to restrain myself so I only have six (6) pumpkin blends in my tea collection!

Pumpkin Tea #1: Monarch Tea Co.'s Pumpkin Spice black tea is a classic pumpkin spice blend with nutty undertones. 

 

 

Pumpkin Tea #2: Monarch Tea Co.'s Pumpkin Cream black tea has a sweet taste because it includes real maple syrup!

 

Pumpkin Tea #3 (photos taken in 2019): Geek+Tea's Pumpkin Juice Chai is a black tea with a nice balance of vanilla and spices (cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, clove, allspice). I love this tea so much that I stocked up on this back in spring!

Pumpkin Tea #4: DavidsTea's Pumpkin Crème Brûlée intrigued me because: 1) it was a herbal infusion, and 2) it was a rare pumpkin blend that was not spiced! I was happy that I found a caffeine-free pumpkin blend that wasn't a rooibos.

Pumpkin Tea #5: Clearview Tea Co.'s tasty Pumpkin Spice Rooibos was a free sample.

Pumpkin Tea #6: Dessert by Deb's Pumpkin Pie Tart green tea is the only tea in my stash that doesn't contain real pumpkins. This blend actually contains apple so it tasted more like an apple cinnamon tea.

 I'm so proud of how well I did with my September sipdowns!

I think this is the most tea empties I've achieved since I started tracking my sipdowns a year ago!

Oldest tea: English Classic Cold Brewed Teabag (it's so old that I can't even remember when I was gifted it!)

Newest tea: Blood Orange Cider rooibos and Ginger Bear Crisp herbal tea from Dessert by Deb (September 2020)

 

This is the first of my two September orders from Dessert by Deb. I love the sticker-adorned packaging and Deb's sweet handwritten notes!

I ordered teas from the Cake & Celebration and Cozy Treats collections that I've been wanting to try. I also restocked on favourites from the Garden Party Tea Collection (the Lemongrass Milk Pudding was a bonus promo).

 

A few weeks later, Deb launched her fall collection, Little Cottage Bakery. Of course, I had to have these new teas RIGHT NOW. The tower of happy tea mail that Deb posted on her Instagram made me smile.

In addition to the new fall teas, I also restocked on the Coconut Cream Pie Chai.

This Tea at the White House haul is *technically* a belated birthday gift because I used a gift card to make the purchase.

Soy candles that smell like Cream Earl Grey and scones? 

Yes, please!

Restock on faves: Bengal Tiger black tea (a cinnamon mango and passion fruit tea) and Monk's Blend decaf.

 

I'm already thinking about Christmas: Candy Cane black tea and German Gingerbread black tea.

I'm well equipped for the cozy autumn season!

Chai #4: Coconut Cream Pie Chai from Dessert by Deb

This was my favourite and I've already ordered a larger (75g) bag!

Tea Hauls: Monarch Tea Co. and Tea Sante

Last week's happy mail brought in some fall teas. Hooray!

It was Monarch Tea Co.'s super cute sweatshirt that made me break my 70-day tea buying ban streak! My purchase also included 2 black teas (1 maple, 1 pumpkin), and a free sample of a Cream Earl Grey. 

I took advantage of Tea Sante's Labour Day Sale (the 20% discount covered most of the shipping) to try some of their teas (left to right): Citrus Green Apple green tea; Pomegranate Vanilla black tea; Cardamom black tea; Vanilla Cream black tea.

I don't go out much, and yet I keep buying online these adorable tea-themed cloth masks!

Fall has arrived in my corner of the valley

It's September so my orangy-yellow and brown teawares are now on display!

This adorable Kaldun & Bogle pumpkin teapot was gifted to me years ago.

My brown betty with vintage Johnson Brothers brown transferwares and a Windsor China teacup.

My lusterwares: The peach teacups are Fire King, while the teapot and and sugar were Made in Japan.

After last week's post was published, I realized that I forgot to include the Mango & Lychee Souffle green tea in my August sipdown.

On Day 70, I broke my tea buying ban. So I now have 6 fall teas (from 2 different companies) heading my way!
